South Portland Parks and Recreation is offering a charter bus trip for residents to see the Boston Red Sox host the Minnesota Twins on May 8. Registration for the trip opens April 1. The University of Southern Maine Sport Management Program will hold the Into the Mud Challenge, a 2.5-mile race featuring obstacles and mud pits, at 9:30 a.m. on May 7 at Gorham Middle School. The event will offer individual, team and youth divisions, with prizes for first place and for the best costumes.
