LAWRENCE, Kan. – Cole Aldrich had a double-double and Xavier Henry scored 24 points Saturday to lead No. 1 Kansas to a 94-74 victory over Colorado.

Tyshawn Taylor, back in the starting lineup after a nine-game absence, had 17 points for the Jayhawks (26-1, 12-0), who entered the day with a three-game lead in pursuit of their sixth straight Big 12 title.

The Buffaloes (12-14, 3-9) were consecutive victim No. 57 on Kansas’ home court. It’s the longest home streak in the nation and getting close to the school-record 62 set during the Roy Williams era.

 

(4) PURDUE 75, ILLINOIS 65: Robbie Hummel had 22 points and 12 rebounds to lead Purdue (23-3, 11-3 Big Ten) beat Illinois (17-10, 9-5) at West Lafayette, Ind., for its ninth straight win.

E’Twaun Moore added 18 points for the Boilermakers, who moved into a tie with No. 11 Michigan State for the conference lead.

(8) WEST VIRGINIA 75, SETON HALL 63: Kevin Jones and Devin Ebanks scored 16 points apiece to as West Virginia (21-5, 10-4 Big East) beat Seton Hall (15-10, 6-8) at Morgantown, W.Va.

 

(12) NEW MEXICO 59, AIR FORCE 56: Darrington Hobson scored 17 points, including a putback with 16.9 seconds remaining, and Dairese Gary made two free throws with 2.5 seconds left as New Mexico (25-3, 11-2 Mountain West) avoided a major upset by beating the Falcons (9-16, 1-11) at Albuquerque, N.M.

The Lobos won their school-record 11th straight game in conference play and set the school’s best-ever record through 28 games.

(15) TEXAS 71, TEXAS TECH 67: Gary Johnson scored a career-high 22 points to lead the Longhorns (21-6, 7-5 Big 12) past the Red Raiders (16-10, 4-8) at Lubbock, Texas.

 

(18) BUTLER 70, SIENA 53: Shelvin Mack scored 23 points and Gordon Hayward had 15 points and 12 rebounds as Butler (25-4) beat Siena (22-6) at Indianapolis for its 17th straight victory, tied with Murray State for the nation’s longest winning streak.

 

(20) TENNESSEE 63, SOUTH CAROLINA 55: Bobby Maze scored 14 points and Tennessee (20-6, 8-4 Southeastern Conference) reached the 20-victory mark for the fifth straight season with a win over the Gamecocks (14-12, 5-7) at Columbia, S.C.

(21) TEMPLE 75, SAINT JOSEPH’S 67: Ramone Moore had 24 points and nine rebounds and Lavoy Allen notched his 10th double-double of the season as Temple (22-5, 10-2 Atlantic 10) beat the Hawks (9-18, 3-10), defeating them for the seventh at Philadelphia.

 

OKLAHOMA ST. 82, (22) BAYLOR 75: James Anderson matched his season high with 31 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as Oklahoma State (19-7, 7-5 Big 12) beat Baylor (20-6, 7-5) at Stillwater, Okla.

 

N.C. STATE 68, (23) WAKE FOREST 54: Farnold Degand hit two 3-pointers in the decisive second-half run as North Carolina State (15-13, 3-10 Atlantic Coast Conference) beat Wake Forest (18-7, 8-5) at Raleigh, N.C.

N.C. State snapped a five-game losing streak, earned its first league victory in a month and beat its instate rival in Raleigh for the fifth straight time.

(24) TEXAS A&M 60, IOWA ST. 56: Donald Sloan scored 14 points and Texas A&M (19-7, 8-4 Big 12) beat the Cyclones (13-14, 2-10) at Ames, Iowa for its fifth time in six games

The Aggies have won three straight road games by a total of nine points.

Diante Garrett and Marquis Gilstrap each had 15 points for Iowa State, which lost for the ninth time in 10 games. The Cyclones have lost 21 straight to ranked teams dating to 2006.
