A Cumberland County Jail inmate eligible for work release walked away from the jail’s community corrections center at 10:15 a.m. but was caught a half-hour later.

Nicolas Gladu, 26, of Portland, who is serving a 90-day sentence for theft, was due to be released in May, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office. Now he could face additional charges.
