The national Fly Fishing Film Tour is coming to Maine next week with the help of Fly Fishing in Maine and several other fishing groups.

On March 11 and 12 at Frontier Cafe and Cinema in Brunswick the national film tour that started in Colorado will make its first stop in Maine.

Since it started four years ago the Fly Fishing Film Tour has become popular among fishing fans and outdoor enthusiasts. This year it will stop in 80 cities.

The tour is a collection of short films that undergo a selection process with the best being chosen to represent the pinnacle of fly fishing adventures. Interesting stories and exciting angling footage makes up the 90-minute show.

The event also will include door prizes and auction items. All proceeds go to the Fly Fishing In Maine Grassroots Grant fund, which benefits such non-profits such as Trout Unlimited and Casting For Recovery.

Due to limited capacity at the Frontier Cinema, reservations are recommended. Call 725-5222.
