Portland-based women’s wear designer Jill McGowan, known for her classic, white button-down shirts, is scheduled to appear on “The Martha Stewart Show” on Thursday.
Last July, Stewart visited McGowan’s studio and wrote about the visit on her blog. In the post, Stewart, who maintains a summer home in Northeast Harbor, lauded McGowan as a designer “who believes in creating beautiful clothing that is comfortable, fashionable, and of good quality that will never go out of style.”
According to a press release from McGowan, Thursday’s program will feature a fashion show and gift bags filled with Maine goodies for the studio audience.
McGowan, a graduate of the University of Maine, grew up in Pittsfield and lives with her husband, David, and son Theo in Falmouth.
“The Martha Stewart Show” airs locally on WMTW-8 at 10 a.m.
