ST. MARYS, Ga. — A candlelight prayer vigil is planned Friday night for a missing Armstrong Atlantic University student.

Organizers say proceeds from the sale of T-shirts and bracelets at the vigil for 19-year-old Bryce Tarter of Kittery, will be donated to his family to help establish a reward fund for information leading to his whereabouts.

Tarter was last seen driving from the Armstrong Atlantic campus in Savannah during the early morning of Jan. 31 in a 2000 white Nissan Frontier pickup with a Maine license tag.

Danny Riggins says he was Tarter’s baseball coach when the student’s family lived in Camden County. He says Tarter’s father served on a submarine at Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base and helped coach the youth baseball team until he was reassigned about five years ago.
