Fleurent, Hebb among four finalists for Travis Roy Award in boys’ hockey

The Maine Class A Hockey Coaches Association announced that Trevor Fleurent of Biddeford, Rick Hebb of Thornton Academy, Nick George of Bangor and Mat Gordon of Edward Little are the finalists for the Travis Roy Award, which honors the top senior in Class A boys’ hockey.

Fleurent, the state’s leading scorer with 33 goals and 27 assists, led Biddeford to its third state championship in four years. Hebb had a 1.31 goals-against average and a .935 save percentage, leading Western Class A goalies in both categories.

George, a defenseman, was Bangor’s top scorer with six goals and 23 assists. Gordon finished with 26 goals and 24 assists.

The winner will be announced at the Class A hockey banquet at noon Sunday at the Ramada Inn in Lewiston.
