AUGUSTA — Officials say the average cash price for home heating oil in Maine has dropped a penny per gallon from last week to $2.68 a gallon.
The Governor’s Office of Energy Independence and Security said today that the lowest price of $2.34 per gallon was found in the southwestern Maine and the highest price of $2.88 per gallon was found in the northern part of the state.
Energy Director John Kerry says Maine homeowners should add energy conservation and weatherization to their spring cleaning lists.
