The Portland Firefighters IAFF Local No. 740 and East Coast Marketing Group are sponsoring a charity hockey game between former Boston Bruins players and the Greater Portland High School All-Stars, to be played at 7 p.m. next Friday at the Cumberland County Civic Center.
The Biddeford boys’ hockey team and area girls’ players will play against a team of former Bruins, including Ken Linseman, Bob Beers, Glen Featherstone and Andy Brickley.
A “Heroes” game at 6 p.m. will feature members of the Portland Fire Department against members of the Portland Police Department. Tickets are available at the door for a $10 donation, and proceeds go toward the Portland Firefighters IAFF Local No. 740 and its fire safety and education programs.
