Local restaurants will be on the front burner tonight at 10 when the Travel Channel airs a show about Anthony Bourdain’s recent adventures in Maine.
Bourdain, host of the show “No Reservations,” visited Maine earlier this year to check out the food with one of his crew members, Zach Zamboni, who grew up in Milo.
Bourdain sampled the steamers at J’s Oyster in Portland, then walked down the street for more fresh seafood at Street & Co. In Rockland, he ate Damariscotta oysters at Primo and lobster at Conte’s 1894 Restaurant. Bourdain chowed down on baked beans and brown bread at the Milo Town Hall, and traveled six miles into the woods to visit the Spring Creek barbecue pit in Monson.
