Lindsay Ball, 18, of Benton won the women’s adaptive giant slalom in the visually impaired category at the U.S. Adaptive Skiing national championships at Big Sky Resort in Montana Ball also earned a bronze medal in slalom and was the 18-and-under champion in downhill and super-G.

Alex Tomaszewski, 16, of Wells, captured gold medals in the junior division for downhill and slalom and earned silver medals in giant slalom and super-G. Tomaszewski was born without a lower leg and uses a prosthetic leg designed specifically for skiing.

 

Cam Gray used a 7-iron for a hole-in-one on the 155-yard 13th hole at Spring Meadows Golf Club in Gray on April 5. The shot was witnessed by Don Goodwin and Aaron Lockwood.

 

Jeremy Bruns made a hole-in-one Wednesday on the sixth hole at Spring Meadows. He used an 8-iron from 152 yards. The shot was witnessed by Ed Fortier and Joe Rokowski.
