Portland High will host the Bulldog Classic Regatta on Saturday at the SailMaine Community Sailing Center at 58 Fore St. There will be teams competing from Maine, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut. Portland won last year’s race.
“We’re ready to do it again,” said Portland co-captain Sean Dowling.
The first race starts at 11:30 a.m. and the last race begins at 4 p.m. Spectators should bring binoculars and lunch.
The Portland team is a member of the New England High School Sailing Association. Other local teams competing are Cheverus, Cape Elizabeth and Falmouth. George Stevens Academy of Blue Hill also will be in the regatta.
