BIDDEFORD — The University of New England says the president of the Institute of Medicine of the National Academies will speak at its 40th commencement exercises.
Dr. Harvey Fineberg will deliver the commencement speech May 22 at the Cumberland County Civic Center in Portland. He will also be awarded an honorary doctor of science degree by the school.
The University of New England, which is in Biddeford, will award 1,147 associate, bachelor, masters and doctoral degrees from its medical school and four colleges.
