BAR HARBOR — Maine’s Acadia National Park will get $2.6 million in federal stimulus funding to improve roads and restore culverts and stone work throughout the park.

The National Park Service has awarded the contract for the work to Sargent Corp. of Stillwater.

Maine’s congressional delegation said today that the funding will create good-paying jobs in Hancock County and preserve and protect a Maine treasure that draws thousands of visitors each year.
