GORHAM – Luc Robitaille scored four goals and Connor Smith added three Wednesday to lead Gorham to a 10-4 victory against Westbrook in a schoolboy lacrosse game.

Justin Bahr chipped in two goals for Gorham (1-1), and Elliot Gagne finished with a goal and four assists.

Garrett Poitras scored twice for the Blue Blazes (0-1).

MASSABESIC 11, MARSHWOOD 8: Cameron Wyman scored four goals for the Mustangs (1-0) against the Hawks (0-2) at Waterboro.

Greg Lodge and Corey Wakefield added two goals apiece for Massabesic, which led 10-3 at halftime before Marshwood rallied.

Gerrick Vachon had 10 saves for the Mustangs.

Jake Allen scored twice for Marshwood.

BIDDEFORD 9, NOBLE 4: Travis Guay scored twice to lead the Tigers in an opener at North Berwick.

Lenny Dube had a goal and three assists, and Sam Butler, Ethan Pratt and Ryan Regis all added a goal and two assists for Biddeford.

Jesse Cotty, Nick Grant, Tom Doucette and Zach Blanchette scored for the Knights.

SOFTBALL

MT. ARARAT 13, MORSE 5: Miranda Riendeau went 3 for 5 with two home runs for the Eagles in an opener at Bath.

Meghan Carr added a two-run homer to cap a five-run fourth inning for Mt. Ararat.

Carr scattered eight hits and allowed three earned runs with two strikeouts for the win.

Tess Hitchcock went 4 for 5 for Mt. Ararat with three RBI, including a two-run double in the fourth before Carr’s home run.

Heather Dube had three doubles for Morse.

ERSKINE ACADEMY 5, OXFORD HILLS 4: Jessica Souther hit an RBI double in the eighth inning as Erskine Academy won an opener at South China.

Michaela Fortin scored the winning run.

Oxford Hills had a four-run fourth inning, when Jaidyn Rice and Allyson Snow stroked RBI doubles.

Samantha Morse of Erskine struck out eight, walked one and gave up six hits.

CONY 8, BRUNSWICK 2: Amy Jones was a single short of the cycle as the Rams won an opener at Brunswick.

Jones had a double, a triple and a solo home run and drove in three runs. Kolbie Danforth added a double and a single, Emily Soule had three singles and an RBI, and Suzannah Deeves had two singles and two RBI.

Soule struck out 12, walking four and allowing four hits.

BASEBALL

CONY 7, BRUNSWICK 2: Jake Lachance and Tyler Rod-rigue hit RBI singles in a five-run ninth inning for the Rams in an opener at Brunswick.

Ryan Minoty of Cony struck out seven and walked four before Jake Beland relieved in the sixth.

Lachance led Cony’s eight-hit offense with a double and two singles.

HAMPDEN ACADEMY 6, LAWRENCE 5: Fred Knight hit a winning single in the 10th inning to lift the Broncos in an opener at Hampden.

Knight also had a two-run single for Hampden.

Blair Blaisdell had three hits, including two doubles, and two RBI for the Bulldogs. Derek Giggey added three singles for Lawrence.
