Authorities are searching for a 55-year-old Standish woman who has not been seen since Tuesday.
Cumberland County Sheriff’s deputies are searching for Paula Cote, of 345 River Road in Standish. Friends reported her missing Wednesday, after she had not been seen or heard from in a day and half.
Cote was last seen leaving her home at 3:30 p.m. on foot, wearing a light blue sweatshirt, blue jeans and white and green sneakers, according to a release from the sheriff’s office.

Deputies began investigating the case at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Investigators said it is uncharacteristic of Cote to not have contact with friends for an extended period of time.
Cote is described as 5-foot-2, 125 pounds, white with brown eyes and brown hair, usually worn in a ponytail, the sheriff’s office said. Her disappearance is listed in the National Crime Information Center database.
