SOUTH BERWICK – April St. Cyr singled in the winning run with two outs in the sixth inning Friday to give Marshwood a 4-3 victory against Gorham in a Southern Maine Activities Association softball opener.

Nicole O’Neil had a single and a double for Marshwood.

Annie Mitchell singled and scored twice for Gorham.

SOUTH PORTLAND 4, SANFORD 1: Alexis Bogdanovich had a two-run homer, and Amanda Linscott added a single and a double for the Red Riots in an opener at Sanford.

Liz Rancourt had a triple for Sanford.

SCARBOROUGH 11, WESTBROOK 0: Abbey Rutt had a triple and a home run for the Red Storm in an opener at Westbrook.

Melissa Dellatorre struck out 10 in four innings for Scarborough.

 

CONY 17, MORSE 4: Nicole Rugan drove in four runs and Amy Jones added three RBI to lead the Rams (2-0) in five innings at Augusta.

Cony scored eight runs in the third on seven consecutive hits. Emily Soule was the winning pitcher.

LISBON 16, MADISON 7: Brooke Lawrence went 4 for 5 with four RBI and four runs as the Greyhounds (2-0) beat the Bulldogs (0-1) at Lisbon Falls.

Ashley Beaulieu went 3 for 5 with four runs, and Krystin Ramich added two hits for Lisbon.

Kayla Belanger had two triples for Madison.

OAK HILL 11, LEAVITT 0: Lauren Hall pitched a shutout and hit a two-run homer as the Raiders (1-0) won at Turner.

Hall also had three singles. She allowed two hits and struck out four with no walks.

Katie Wood added three singles and an RBI, and Sarah Albert and Taylor Fillion each had two singles for Oak Hill.

ERSKINE ACADEMY 15, MT. BLUE 8: Jessica Souther had two singles and an RBI as the Eagles (2-0) downed the Cougars (1-1) at South China.

KENNEBUNK 3, MARSHWOOD 0: Taylor Landry pitched a three-hit shutout, and Ethan Drigotas and Will Fulford had a double each for the Rams in an opener at South Berwick.

Ben Yarian had two hits for Marshwood.

SOUTH PORTLAND 9, GORHAM 0: Andrew Richards allowed two hits and struck out five over six innings, and the Red Riots used a six-run fourth inning in an opener at South Portland.

The Red Riots hit six straight singles in the fourth.

Mike Foley had three hits, and Paul Reny, Brendon Horton, Zach Horton, Matt Lee and Evan Indorf each had two for South Portland.

CONY 2, MORSE 0: Ryan Edwards allowed five hits in six innings to lead the Rams (2-0) past Morse (0-2) at Augusta.

Edwards struck out three with no walks. Jake Lachance pitched a scoreless seventh.

The Rams scored their runs in the third. Colin McKee reached on a bunt single, stole second and scored on a Lachance double. Lachance later scored on an error.

D.J. Ray allowed five hits for Morse with two strikeouts and no walks.

LISBON 16, MADISON 0: The Greyhounds (2-0) scored seven runs in the third inning and earned a five-inning victory at Lisbon Falls.

Frank Angelica and Alex Hall doubled for Lisbon.

BREWER 11, MESSALONSKEE 1: Kyle McClain pitched a complete game, allowing one run on three hits, striking out five and walking none as the Witches (1-1) beat the Eagles (1-1) at Brewer.

Colby Small had two doubles and two RBI, and Blake Birmingham had a double and a single for Brewer.

BOYS’ LACROSSE

LEWISTON 7, MT. ARARAT 4: Elliot Chicoine scored two goals to lead Lewiston (1-1) over Mt. Ararat (0-2) at Topsham.

Curtis Robinson added a goal and an assist, and Jesse Leeman made 19 saves.

Dylan Bousque-Smith had three goals and an assist for the Eagles.

BONNY EAGLE 11, WESTBROOK 2: Chris Smith scored five goals and assisted on two others as the Scots (1-1) cruised past the Blue Blazes (0-2) at Standish.

Andrew Nelligan added three goals and three assists for Bonny Eagle.

Austin Watts and Jeff Morse scored for Westbrook.

SCARBOROUGH 8, CHEVERUS 7: Matt Mayo had four goals and Jon Blaisdell scored the winner from John Wheeler as the Red Storm (1-1) beat the Stags (0-1) at Scarborough.

Sean Oddy had 16 saves for Cheverus.

EDWARD LITTLE 9, MT. BLUE 2: Anthony Larabee and Nick Watson scored for Mt. Blue (1-1), but it wasn’t enough at Auburn.

Dylan Eustice had 12 saves for Mt. Blue.
