WESTBROOK – Winning pitcher Allison Lemay had three hits, two runs and two RBI, and Westbrook overcame a four-run deficit to beat Portland 9-8 in an SMAA softball game Thursday.

Portland (0-3) opened a 6-2 lead after three innings, but Westbrook got two back in the fourth and took the lead in the fifth on RBI singles by Lemay and Karleigh Gaudreau, and a sacrifice fly by Danielle Bouchard.

The Blue Blazes (1-2) added two runs in the sixth and held off Portland’s comeback bid in the top of the seventh.

Kayla Winton homered in the second inning for Westbrook.

SANFORD 5, BONNY EAGLE 4: Rochelle Osburn led off the bottom of the eighth with a walk and scored on a two-out single by Faith Crosby to lift the Redskins (1-2) over the Scots (0-2) at Sanford.

Crosby also earned the win, giving up just one unearned run on three hits in five innings of relief.

SCARBOROUGH 9, NOBLE 0: Heather Carrier hit two home runs, Allana Peoples drove in four runs with a single, a double and a home run, and Melissa Dellatorre struck out 11 through five innings to lead the Red Storm (3-0) past the Knights (0-3) at North Berwick.

BIDDEFORD 7, WINDHAM 1: Sarah Gilblair struck out 10 and allowed just one hit through six innings as the Tigers (3-0) beat the Eagles (0-3) at Windham.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 6, YORK 3: Laura Getchell struck out 14 and allowed three hits as the Patriots (2-0) beat the Wildcats (1-2) at Gray.

Getchell also had two RBI, and Abby Ryan and Maggie Chaplin each drove in a run for Gray-New Gloucester.

LAKE REGION 7, POLAND 1: Hannah Cutting tossed a five-hitter and the Lakers (1-2) broke a 1-1 tie with a three-run third against the Knights (0-3) at Poland.

GEORGES VALLEY 22, WISCASSET 1: Jill Bradbury homered twice and finished with five RBI as the Buccaneers (1-0) downed the Redskins (0-3) in five innings at Thomaston.

Bradbury hit a two-run homer and Kennadi Grover added a three-run shot in the first inning as the Buccaneers took an 11-0 lead. Katelyn Rich contributed three hits and four RBI.

MEDOMAK VALLEY 17, WATERVILLE 2: Kasey Benner had four hits to pace Medomak Valley (2-1) to a win at Waterville (0-3).

FALMOUTH 11, CAPE ELIZABETH 8: Laura Fay scored four goals and Megan Fortier notched the go-ahead goal in overtime for the Yachtsmen (2-0) against the Capers (1-1) at Falmouth.

Karyn Barrett had five goals for Cape Elizabeth.

WELLS 11, FREEPORT 6: Lily Colley and Kelly Beisswanger scored four goals apiece as the Warriors (2-1) downed the Falcons (0-3) at Freeport.

BRUNSWICK 13, MESSALONSKEE 1: Anna Holmblad and Leila Mills scored four goals apiece to lead the Dragons (3-0) past the Eagles (0-3) at Oakland.

SCARBOROUGH 17, PORTLAND 3: Lindsay Hagerman scored six goals and Ellie Morin added four as the Red Storm (2-0) rolled over the Bulldogs (1-1) at Fitzpatrick Stadium.

THORNTON ACADEMY 16, BIDDEFORD 0: Erin Kany and Alanna Richard scored four goals apiece to lead the Trojans (2-0) against the Tigers (0-2) at Biddeford.

MARSHWOOD 14, NOBLE 3: Natasha Chabot scored six goals and assisted on three others, and Erica Sedler added five goals and two assists to lead the Hawks past the Knights at North Berwick.

YORK 22, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 3: Mackie Hill scored four goals and Carly Lee added three as the Wildcats (2-1) downed the Raiders (0-3) at York.
