Gorgeous weather blessed Ogunquit’s Cinco de Mayo celebration Saturday at Ogunquit Beach, enticing some 165 walkers and runners to the Beach & Bay 5K Run or Walk for AIDS.

A barbecue followed on the beach, and when all the pinatas were smashed, and all the Mexican hat dances danced, the event had raised $21,000 for the Frannie Peabody Center, a Portland nonprofit that provides services to people with HIV/AIDS.
