PORTLAND – Annalisa Ferrante and Jen Lynch each had a home run and two singles, and Deering scored the go-ahead run on an error in the bottom of the sixth inning to beat Bonny Eagle 9-8 in an SMAA softball game Monday.

Fiona Densmore also had three hits for Deering (2-3), which trailed 8-3 in the third inning.

Bonny Eagle (1-3) was led by Hannah Goodale with three hits.

 

KENNEBUNK 4, MCAU-LEY 3: Alex Leonardi singled home Rachel Magulski with two outs in the seventh inning to lift the Rams (3-2) over the Lions (3-1) at Kennebunk.

Janelle Bouchard led Kennebunk with three hits, including a double and a triple.

Sam Schildroth hit an RBI triple for McAuley, which tied the game with a run in the top of the seventh after Kennebunk snapped a 2-2 tie in the sixth.

 

SOUTH PORTLAND 16, WINDHAM 9: Danielle Di-Biase had four hits, including home runs to lead off both the first and second innings, and the Red Riots (5-0) outslugged the Eagles (1-4) at Windham.

Katlin Norton added a three-run homer and a two-run blast for South Portland, which broke open an 8-5 game with four runs in the fifth and four in the sixth.

Windham was led by Elizabeth Silvius with three hits and two RBI. Julia LoScuito and Kayla Kennedy each added solo homers.

NOBLE 10, PORTLAND 8: Hilary Allen drove in three runs with a single and a double and scored twice, and the Knights (1-4) held off the Bulldogs (0-5) at North Berwick.

Portland’s Leeann Reichert had three singles and a home run and scored four times.

 

SCARBOROUGH 14, GORHAM 3: Mo Hannan was 5 for 5 with four doubles, a triple, four runs and four RBI to lead the Red Storm (5-0) past the Rams (0-5) at Gorham.

Heather Carrier also scored four runs, going 3 for 4 with two doubles and two RBI.

Alyssa Clark drove in two runs and had all three hits for Gorham, including a triple.

BIDDEFORD 11, MARSHWOOD 0: Sarah Gilblair pitched a two-hitter with nine strikeouts and no walks, and Heather Fecteau had a single, a double and two RBI as the Tigers (5-0) shut out the Hawks (2-3) at South Berwick.

 

CHEVERUS 19, WESTBROOK 4: Theresa Hendrix, the winning pitcher, went 4 for 4 with a three-run homer, five runs scored and four RBI as the Stags (3-2) cruised to a six-inning win over the Blue Blazes (1-4) at Westbrook.

Audrey Grinnell added three hits, including a three-run triple.

Lindsay Driscoll had a two-run single for Westbrook.

THORNTON ACADEMY 13, MASSABESIC 0: Julia Geaumont threw a four-hitter and was 3 for 4 with a double, a home run and two RBI to lead the Golden Trojans (5-0) past the Mustangs (2-2) at Waterboro.

Geaumont struck out eight and walked three. Chrissy Remmes had a triple, a home run and three RBI for Thornton.

 

WELLS 6, LAKE REGION 5: The Warriors (4-1) rallied for two runs in the seventh inning on a bases-loaded walk and an error to beat the Lakers (2-3) at Naples.

Abby Fenstermaker had an RBI triple for the Warriors, and Sabrina Link added two hits, including an RBI single.

GREELY 14, CAPE ELIZABETH 6: Marika Stayte was 3 for 5 with a double and five RBI and Bryce McEwen was 3 for 5 with four RBI to pace the Rangers (4-0) over the Capers (0-4) at Cape Elizabeth.

Lexi Cantara and Ellen Best homered and Ally Boyington had three hits for Cape Elizabeth.

 

GRAY-NEW GLOUCES-TER 6, FALMOUTH 2: Laura Getchell hit a two-run single during a four-run sixth inning as the Patriots (4-0) pulled away from the Yachtsmen (2-2) at Falmouth.

Abby Ryan added a pair of hits, including a double, and scored a run.

 

YARMOUTH 9, POLAND 1: McKenzie Gray pitched five perfect innings with nine strikeouts as the Clippers (3-2) beat the Knights (0-5) at Yarmouth.

Reliever Abbie Hutchinson struck out five and allowed two hits.

Abby Ridge paced Yarmouth’s offense with two triples and a single. Morgan Ruetty had a single, a double and two RBI.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 12, FREEPORT 2: Charlotte Lewis struck out eight while tossing a three-hitter and went 2 for 4 with a triple and three RBI as the Raiders (6-0) downed the Falcons (0-5) in six innings at Fryeburg.

Ariel McConkey added three hits, three RBI and two runs scored, and Maggie McConkey had three hits and scored four runs.

Jessica Kane hit a two-run double for Freeport.

 

YORK 12, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 1: Alex Reny struck out nine and allowed just three hits, and the Wildcats (2-2) scored eight runs in the third inning to pull away from the Seagulls (1-3) at York.

York got a two-run homer from Chelsey Hutchings and a three-run triple from Alex Haight during its big rally. Hutchings finished with three hits.

SACOPEE VALLEY 18, TRAIP ACADEMY 4: Whitney Stacey, Lizz Moulton and Callie Day each had two hits and two RBI to help the Hawks (3-0) defeat the Rangers (0-6) in five innings at South Hiram.

Chelsea Burnell had three hits and scored two runs.

 

MT. ARARAT 7, LEWISTON 5: Tess Hitchcock had four hits and two RBI as the Eagles (3-2) edged the Blue Devils (0-5) at Lewiston.

Miranda Riendeau also knocked in a pair of runs and had three hits, including a triple.
