WESTBROOK — The owners of the Skybox Bar and Grill won another victory Monday as the City Council voted to grant the bar its request for an amusement license.

The vote was 3-2 in favor of giving the Skybox its license. Councilors Michael Foley and Victor Chau cast the dissenting votes.

Allen Moore, co-owner of the Skybox, told councilors at a public hearing Monday that he wanted to have comedy shows and live music. He proposed to have four rock shows a year and deejays on a monthly basis. Moore said he would schedule bands to perform from noon to 8 p.m. or earlier, and said he will use his own sound system to minimize the volume.
