The Brockton (Mass.) Rox of the Can-Am League will play two exhibitions against the Quebec Capitales at The Ballpark in Old Orchard Beach on May 22-23. Oil Can Boyd will throw out the first pitch and sign autographs before the May 22 game. Boyd and Rox players and coaches will hold a free skills clinic for youths from 10 a.m. to noon May 23. Tickets for each game are $5 for adults, and $3 for children 12 and under. They will only be available on the day of the game at The Ballpark.
Registration is open for the YES! summer basketball league for boys and girls in grades 3 to 8. The league, which plays on Saturdays, will hold its skills assessment June 12 at the University of Southern Maine’s Sullivan Gym in Portland. For more information, call 772-6644.
