SOUTH PORTLAND – Alexis Bogdanovich pitched a two-hitter and struck out 12 as South Portland remained unbeaten with a 6-0 victory over Thornton Academy in an SMAA softball game Friday.

The Red Riots (10-0) took a 3-0 lead when Stephanie Thibeault hit a two-run single in the first.

Danielle DiBiase finished with two singles and two runs.

Julia Geaumont had a single and a double for the Golden Trojans (6-3).

 

BONNY EAGLE 6, GORHAM 0: Hannah Goodale pitched a two-hitter as Bonny Eagle (6-3) shut out Gorham (2-7) at Standish.

The Scots scored four runs in the first inning, getting RBI singles by Brooke Van Rosendael and Mariah Harrison. Whitney Porter added a two-out homer in the fourth.

 

CHEVERUS 14, MASSABESIC 0: Theresa Hendrix allowed no hits in four innings and struck out eight, leading the Stags (8-2) over the Mustangs (2-7) at Portland.

Hendrix also had a double, a triple, three RBI and two runs for the Stags, who led 7-0 in the first inning. Anna Snook added a two-run triple.

Danielle Egan broke up the no-hitter with a single in the fifth.

DEERING 18, WESTBROOK 0: Kaylee Wheeler held West-brook (1-9) hitless as the Rams (3-6) won in five innings at Portland.

Jennifer Lynch hit a two-run homer in the fourth inning, and Katie Pickering delivered a solo shot in the second.

 

KENNEBUNK 13, WINDHAM 1: Janelle Bouchard hit three home runs and had seven RBI to lead the Rams (7-2) over the Eagles (1-9) at Kennebunk.

Brianna Bouchard added three singles for Kennebunk, which scored eighth in the fourth.

MCAULEY 9, MARSHWOOD 3: Kayla Daigle hit a two-run double in the fifth inning to break a 3-3 tie and lift the Lions (8-1) over the Hawks (3-7) at Portland.

Amber Libby had three hits for McAuley. Gabby Townsend struck out four while pitching a two-hitter.

Marshwood tied the game on a bases-loaded triple by Nicole O’Neil in the top of the fifth.

 

SANFORD 8, NOBLE 4: Denise Freitas’ two-run homer gave the Redskins (5-4) a 4-1 second-inning lead, and Amanda Hunter hit a two-run fifth-inning single to make it 8-2 and help Sanford beat visiting Noble (1-9).

YORK 5, CAPE ELIZABETH 1: Alex Rennie pitched a seven-hitter and struck out six to lead York (6-4) over the Capers (3-6) at Cape Elizabeth.

Chelsey Hutchings had three singles for the Wildcats, who raced to a 4-0 lead in the first.

 

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 4, LAKE REGION 0: Laura Getchell pitched a no-hitter and struck out 13 as the Patriots (6-2) defeated the Lakers (2-8) at Gray.

Kassie Wilson hit a two-run homer in the first inning.

Allison Clark pitched a four-hitter for the Lakers.

YARMOUTH 5, FALMOUTH 1: Abbie Hutchinson had three hits and two RBI to lead the Clippers (6-4) over Falmouth (4-5) at Yarmouth.

McKenzie Gray pitched a five-hitter and struck out four.

 

SACOPEE VALLEY 14, TRAIP ACADEMY 2: Whitney Stacey was 3 for 4 with three RBI and Shelly Pellegrino had an RBI double to help the Hawks (6-2) beat the Rangers (0-9) in five innings at Kittery.

Kaytie Ziegler had three hits for Traip Academy.

MORSE 12, MT. ARARAT 7: Emma Seeley hit a three-run homer and finished with four hits, five RBI and four runs to lead the Shipbuilders (3-6) past the Eagles (4-5) at Topsham.

Kate Thibodeau added three hits and four RBI for Morse, which broke open a 6-3 game with a five-run sixth inning.

Tess Hitchcock and Meghan Carr had three hits apiece to pace Mt. Ararat.

 

MEDOMAK VALLEY 2, OAK HILL 1: Kayla Santheson pitched a six-hitter with four strikeouts to lead Medomak Valley (7-2) to a win at Waldoboro.

ST. DOMINIC 16, BOOTH-BAY REGION 3: Heidi Nadeau tripled and doubled twice to lead St. Dominic (5-4) over Boothbay Region at Boothbay.

FALMOUTH 12, BRUNSWICK 11: Emma Sipperley scored eight goals and the Yachtsmen (6-2) closed on a 5-0 run to rally past the Dragons (6-1) at Brunswick.

The loss snapped a 36-game winning streak for Brunswick, which was led by Leila Mills with four goals and Anna Holm-blad with three goals and two assists.

DEERING 9, GARDINER 4: Jessie Cinque scored three goals for Deering (3-4-1) in a win over Gardiner at Portland.

Monique Guimond and Zahra Abu added two goals apiece for the Rams, and Julie Pallozzi made 12 saves.

 

GORHAM 18, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 4: Mia Rapolla had eight goals and an assist to lead Gorham (7-0) past Mountain Valley (2-3) at Rumford.

Chelsea Black added four goals for the Rams.

FREEPORT 15, LINCOLN ACADEMY 2: Lucy Whitacre, Jocelyn Davee, Ally Fuehrer and Lauren Easler each scored two goals to lift the Falcons (3-5) to an 11-0 halftime lead over the Eagles (1-5) at Freeport.

Molly Stackhouse and Katrina Belle each scored for Lincoln.

 

SCARBOROUGH 14, MT. ARARAT 9: Lindsay Hagerman had five goals and four assists as the Red Storm (7-0) beat the Eagles (4-3) in Scarborough.

CAPE ELIZABETH 17, WELLS 11: Lauren Steidl scored five goals to pace Cape Elizabeth (5-3) to a win over the Warriors (2-4) at Wells.

Lilly Colley led the Warriors with five goals.

 

MORSE 7, WESTBROOK 6: Lindsay Watts broke a 4-4 tie with 16:27 remaining, then made it 6-4 eight minutes later to help the Shipbuilders (4-2) edge the Blue Blazes (1-7) at Westbrook.

YORK 17, NOBLE 3: Emily Garry paced the Wildcats (5-2) with three goals and an assist in a win over the Knights (0-7) at York.

Mackie Hill added three goals for the Wildcats, who led 10-2 at the half. Carson Waterman scored three goals for Noble.
