Motorists using Route 100 in Falmouth could experience delays as Maine Turnpike Authority contractors work on the bridge crossing the turnpike spur starting Monday.

The workers will try to keep lanes in both directions open, but the lanes will be narrow and traffic will be slowed, the authority said. The bridge is located about a half-mile south of the West Falmouth interchange.

The project should be completed in three to four weeks, said turnpike spokesman Dan Paradee.

“The length of the project will be determined by what they see when they remove the pavement,” said Paradee.
