Workers installed an elaborate new marquee this morning in front of Port City Music Hall, a bar and concert hall on Congress Street. The Art Deco marquee, which had to satisfy city design and historic preservation standards, includes lighting and an electronic message board. It cost nearly $67,000 in all and was paid for in part with an $18,000 federal improvement grant awarded by the city.
