Wiscasset Raceway will kick off its 41st season on Sunday with action in Late Models, Super Streets, Strictly Streets, Mini-Stocks and two new 6-cylinder Enduro divisions. The raceway will also hold “A Salute to the Troops,” put on by the nonprofit group Operation Recognition. The gates will open at 11 a.m., with racing starting at 2 p.m.
The Sanford Springvale Youth Athletic Association will hold registration for fall football, field hockey and cheerleading starting Monday at Nasson Community Center in Springvale. Registration times are 6 to 8 p.m. on May 24, May 26 and June 11, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on June 12. The cost is $50.
