CUMBERLAND — Luke Booth singled home the winning run in the 11th inning Saturday to give Greely a 2-1 victory against York in a Western Maine Conference baseball game.

Sam Thompson didn’t allow a hit in 7⅓ innings, striking out three and walking three. Dan O’Brion threw 3⅔ shutout innings of relief to earn the win for the Rangers (8-4).

Greely opened the scoring on a home run by Mark Dominick in the second inning. The Wildcats (7-5) tied it with an unearned run in the fourth.

Chris Cole and Paddy Murphy combined to allow six hits for York.

CHEVERUS 9, GORHAM 6:
Cheverus (8-4), which trailed 5-1 earlier in the game, scored three runs in the eighth inning and downed the Rams (3-9) at Gorham.

Joe Falconieri finished with a single, a double and three RBI for Cheverus.

MARSHWOOD 3, BONNY EAGLE 2: Luke Fernandes struck out 11 and walked one in a two-hitter for the Hawks (5-7), who built a 3-0 lead and held off the Scots (8-4) at Standish.

Alex McLean made it 3-0 with an RBI double in the fourth inning.

SCARBOROUGH 8, PORTLAND 1: Ryan Mancini, Joe Cronin and Brendan Sullivan each hit RBI singles during a four-run second inning to lead the Red Storm (8-3) past the Bulldogs (6-6) at Scarborough.

Sullivan finished with three hits and two RBI, and Luke Bogdanovich added three hits, including a solo home run.

Ben Wessel of Scarborough struck out eight and walked one in a six-hitter.

Carl Szanton singled home a run for Portland in the seventh.

THORNTON ACADEMY 9, BIDDEFORD 4: Sam Canales broke a scoreless tie with a two-run homer in the third inning and Steve

Trask added an RBI double during a five-run sixth as the Golden Trojans (8-4) pulled away from the Tigers (7-5) at Biddeford.

Alex Jacques added three hits, and Keegan Sullivan and Jack Kenney combined to allow eight hits for the Trojans.

KENNEBUNK 3, NOBLE 2: Ethan Drigotas scored on an error in the seventh inning as the Rams (4-8) beat the Knights (0-12) at Kennebunk.

Facing a 2-1 deficit heading into the seventh, Matt Dube hit an RBI single with runners on first and second, then the throw home went over the catcher’s head as the winning run scored.

WAYNFLETE, NYA SPLIT: Christopher LeBlanc pitched a one-hitter in his first start of the season as NYA won the second game 7-0 to split a doubleheader with Waynflete at Yarmouth.

Sam Fillinger went 3 for 3 with three walks and four hits as Waynflete won the first game, 6-2. All of the Flyers’ runs were unearned, as they took advantage of five NYA errors.

MASSABESIC 5, SANFORD 3: The Mustangs (2-10) scored five runs in the second inning and beat the Redskins (4-8) at Sanford.
David Welch and Casey Nava had RBI singles, and Hunter Duncan drove in two runs with a single in the fourth.

LACROSSE

SCARBOROUGH 11, GORHAM 2: Peter Moore had three goals and an assist, and Nate Hopkins added two assists to lead the Red Storm (6-4) past the Rams (6-4) at Scarborough.

Matt Galyean finished with 12 saves for Scarborough.

THORNTON ACADEMY 6, KENNEBUNK 5: Tim Grose scored his third goal of the game 1:30 into overtime as the Golden Trojans (4-6) beat the Rams (6-3) at Saco.

Cody Dube added two goals, and Steve Woodcock had a goal and two assists for Thornton.

WESTBROOK 14, NOBLE 4: Dane Tupper had seven goals and four assists to pace the Blue Blazes (2-7) past the Knights (0-8) at Westbrook.

Alex Benson added three goals, Brad Stiles had four assists and Reece Leclair made 21 saves for Westbrook.

WINDHAM 8, CHEVERUS 6: Joe Parent scored four goals for Windham at home.

John Skvorak added two goals and two assists, and Sam Blauvelt turned away 10 shots for the Eagles.

PORTLAND 16, DEERING 1: Caleb Kenney scored four goals for the Bulldogs against visiting Deering at Portland.

Jason Knight added three goals and an assist, Kevin Nielson had two goals and three assists, and Ryan Jurgelevich made 18 saves for Portland, which led 11-0 at halftime.
