YARMOUTH — Lilly Wellenbach had five goals and an assist Saturday to lead North Yarmouth Academy to a 12-6 victory against Cape Elizabeth in a schoolgirl lacrosse game.
Courtney Dumont added four goals and three assists for the Panthers (7-3), and Ashley Salerno stopped 24 shots by the Capers (6-4).
SOUTH PORTLAND 18, LINCOLN ACADEMY 7: Nikki LaPlante scored seven goals and Kate Langlois added four as the Red Riots (5-4) downed the Eagles (1-8) at Newcastle.
WESTBROOK 11, PORTLAND 2: Ciera Bellino scored four goals for the Blue Blazes (2-8), who took a 4-0 halftime lead and beat the Bulldogs (6-4) at Portland.
Katie Conley added three goals and Liz Conley made 16 saves for Westbrook.
Rachel Allen and Nancy McAdam scored for the Bulldogs.
YARMOUTH 19, FALMOUTH 10: Danielle Torres scored six goals for the Clippers (8-2), who used a 10-2 run in the second half to pull away from the Yachtsmen (7-3) at Yarmouth.
Devin Simsarian added three goals and two assists, and Rebecca Bell had three goals for Yarmouth, which never trailed.
Emma Sipperly scored three goals for Falmouth.
WAYNFLETE 10 YORK 9: Morgan Woodhouse scored three goals for the Flyers (9-1) at Portland.
Amy Allen, Scout Haffenreffer and Martha Veroneau added two goals each for the Flyers.
Waynflete trailed 4-1 after the first 14 minutes, then scored six straight goals to end the half with a 7-4 lead. York never caught up.
Emily Garry scored four goals and Ashley Neal had 16 saves for York.
WELLS 21, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 2: Lily Colley had four goals and three assists for the Warriors (5-4), who took a 17-1 halftime lead and beat the Raiders (0-8) at Wells.
Kelly Beisswanger and Heather LaPierre each added four goals and one assist.
Janna Kurnick and Katie Armington scored for Fryeburg.
SOFTBALL
SCARBOROUGH 27, PORTLAND 0: Erin Giles and Melissa Dellatorre homered for the Red Storm (11-0) against the Bulldogs (1-11) in a five-inning game at Portland.
Mo Hannan had two hits for Scarborough, including a triple, and Abby Rutt and Dominique Burnham each added two hits, including a double.
Maggie Kilbride had both hits for Portland.
FALMOUTH 4, TRAIP ACADEMY 0: Kelsey Freedman pitched a two-hitter as the Yachtsmen (5-7) shut out Traip Academy (0-11) at Falmouth.
Freedman finished with eight strikeouts and two walks.
The Yachtsmen scored three runs in the second inning: Allie Carver had an RBI triple and Katie McCarthy added a two- run single.
Sarah Collmus had a sacrifice fly in the fourth inning.
SKOWHEGAN 20, HAMPDEN 0: Sam Gray and Anna Lorette each hit a home run and Whitney Jones drove in four runs to lead the Indians (11-1) past the Broncos in a five-inning game at Hampden.
RANGELEY, GREENVILLE SPLIT: Dagmar Wetherill hit a two-run triple and Devon Fay added a run-scoring single during an eight-run seventh inning as Rangeley (6-3) beat visiting Greenville in the opener.
Greenville (6-3) won the second game, 16-14.
