PORTLAND — Joe Quinlan came within a home run of hitting for the cycle Tuesday to lead Westbrook to a 6-2 victory against Cheverus in a Telegram League game.

Scott Heath added a solo home run for the Blue Blazes (10-3), who never trailed.

Kyle Randall hit three singles and scored for Cheverus (8-5).

BIDDEFORD 9, SANFORD 1: Nick Simpson and Tyler Parker each drove in two runs on two hits as the Tigers (8-5) beat the Redskins (4-9) at Sanford.
Biddeford pitcher Trevor Fleurent allowed one run on seven hits, with two walks and six strikeouts.

BONNY EAGLE 7, KENNEBUNK 2:
Evan Spencer and Lincoln Sanborn hit RBI singles in a three-run sixth inning as Bonny Eagle (9-4) took a 5-2 lead and beat the Rams (4-9) at Kennebunk.

Kevin Moskevich of the Scots allowed five hits and a walk.

The Rams took a 2-0 lead in the second on RBI singles by Jack Habzda and Matt Dube.

SCARBOROUGH 7, SOUTH PORTLAND 2:
Joe Cronin hit an RBI single, Brendan Sullivan an RBI double and Ben Kessel an RBI triple during a five-run fifth inning as the Red Storm (10-3) downed the Red Riots (7-6) at Scarborough.
Cronin pitched a four-hitter with six strikeouts.
Ryan Curit hit two singles for South Portland.

WINDHAM 6, PORTLAND 3: Tucker Miller and Brett Bailey each hit an RBI single during a four-run fifth inning as the Eagles (7-6) pulled away from the Bulldogs (6-7) at Portland.
Drew Gagnon added a double and a triple.
Caleb Fraser had two singles and an RBI for the Bulldogs.

MT. BLUE 9, LAWRENCE 7:
Shane Smith singled twice and struck out eight in six innings, helping Mt. Blue (4-10) defeat Lawrence (4-10) at Farmington.
Alec Wallace and Nick Hilton both doubled and singled for Mt. Blue, which led 7-0 through three innings but gave up six runs in the seventh.
Tim Dudley’s two-run single and Alex Leathers’ two-run double each came with two outs in the seventh for Lawrence. Dudley finished with two singles and Matt Woodbury added a solo home run in the sixth.

RANGELEY 9, BUCKFIELD 8:
Zeke Hall’s RBI single in the sixth inning proved the eventual winner for the Lakers (7-3), who survived a two-run rally by the Bucks (2-11) in the seventh at Rangeley.
Ross Gordon led the Lakers with a single and double. For Buckfield, Isaack Smith singled and homered.

MONDAY’S BASEBALL
WELLS 16, TRAIP ACADEMY 6:
Louis DiTomasso cracked a three-run homer in the first inning, and Paul McDonough was 2 for 3 with a home run and four RBI as the Warriors (4-9) won a six-inning game at Kittery.
Joey Spinelli and Kevin Woods each had three hits and three runs for Wells.

LACROSSE
CAPE ELIZABETH 15, YORK 1:
Harper Nelson scored five goals, and Tom Foden had three goals and three assists to lead the Capers (7-3) past the Wildcats (6-4) at Cape Elizabeth.
Tim Takach added two goals and an assist for Cape Elizabeth.

FALMOUTH 16, GREELY 6:
Mike Kane scored three goals to lead 10 scorers for the Yachtsmen (8-2) against the Rangers (5-5) at Cumberland.
Six players scored for Greely.

OXFORD HILLS 8, CONY 3:
George Turner scored three goals as Oxford Hills (3-8) beat the Rams (0-11) at South Paris.
Andy Ripley added two goals, and Dana Aube, Toby Whaler and Keenan Newell also scored for the Vikings.
Galen Casey, Chris Robinson and Stewart Emery scored, and James Fongemie made 15 saves for Cony.
