SOUTH PORTLAND — Jon Medici allowed one hit in five innings and singled home a run in the second inning Thursday to lead South Portland to a 2-0 victory against Westbrook in a Telegram League baseball game.

Ryan Curit added a two-out, RBI double in the sixth for the Red Riots (9-5).

Andrew Richards gave up one hit while closing the game with two scoreless innings for the Red Riots.

Matt Weimer allowed two runs over 52/3 innings for the Blue Blazes (10-4).

MARSHWOOD 4, SANFORD 3: Jack Verrill hit a two-out homer in the sixth inning to break a 3-3 tie and lift the Hawks (7-7) over Sanford (4-10) at South Berwick.

Verrill struck out three in 2 1/3 shutout innings of relief to earn the win, and Luke Fernandes struck out two in the seventh to pick up the save.

PORTLAND 10, GORHAM 2: Adam Gould pitched a six-hitter with eight strikeouts to lift the Bulldogs (7-7) over the Rams (3-11) at Portland.

Gould also hit an RBI triple and scored, and Caleb Fraser added two RBI for the Bulldogs.

THORNTON ACADEMY 10, NOBLE 2: Zach Sheehan went 3 for 4 with two doubles, three RBI and two runs for the Trojans (9-5), who scored 10 unanswered runs to down the Knights (0-13) at Saco.

Matt Turnage added three hits and Steve Trask hit a solo homer for Thornton.

WINDHAM 3, CHEVERUS 2: Drew Gagnon doubled and Cody Laberge followed with a two-run homer in the sixth inning as the Eagles (8-6) rallied from a 2-1 deficit against the Stags (8-6) at Windham.

Robbie Hamilton added a pair of doubles for Windham, including an RBI double in the fourth inning.

KENNEBUNK 6, BIDDEFORD 2: The Rams (5-9) scored all their runs in the second inning and beat the Tigers (8-6) at Biddeford.

Pat Fulford hit a three-run double, Taylor Landry added a two-run double and Matt Dube drove in a run with a fielder’s choice.

MASSABESIC 4, BONNY EAGLE 0: Hunter Duncan, Mike Guay and Shawn McCarthy each hit an RBI single as Massabesic (4-10) beat Bonny Eagle (9-5) at Waterboro.

SOFTBALL

THORNTON ACADEMY 4, BONNY EAGLE 0: Chrissy Remmes had two hits and two RBI and scored a run to help the Golden Trojans (10-4) defeat the Scots (7-7) at Standish.

GORHAM 10, YORK 9: Mia Rapolla scored seven goals, including the winner, and had an assist to lead the Rams (9-2) against the Wildcats (6-5) at Gorham.

THORNTON ACADEMY 5, MARSHWOOD 3: Alanna Richard scored three goals for the Golden Trojans (9-2), who used a 4-0 run to rally from a 2-0 deficit against the Hawks (3-8) at Saco.

FALMOUTH 21, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 1: Caroline Clement, Emma Sipperly, Laura Fay and Megan Fortier each scored three goals, and Sarah Girouard had four assists for the Yachtsmen (9-3) against the Raiders (0-12) at Falmouth.

BRUNSWICK 16, LEWISTON 3: Annie Kelly had three goals, and Maggie Caputi added two goals and three assists for the Dragons (9-2) at Lewiston.

MORSE 12, CAMDEN HILLS 5: Tori Field had five goals and two assists, and Lindsay Watts added a goal and seven assists as the Shipbuilders (7-4) handled the Windjammers (0-11) at Rockport.

MOUNTAIN VALLEY 17, LINCOLN ACADEMY 8: Ayla Allen scored 10 goals, and Tia White added two goals and three assists to lead the Falcons (4-7) past the Eagles (2-10) at Rumford.
