SOUTH PORTLAND – Stephanie Thibeault, Kaitlin Norton and Alexis Bogdanovich hit consecutive run-scoring singles in the first inning Wednesday, and South Portland went on to a 5-2 victory against McAuley in a Southern Maine Activities Association softball game.

Danielle DiBiase led off the inning with a single for South Portland (15-1).

Bogdanovich pitched a three-hitter with six strikeouts and three walks against the Lions (11-5).

FALMOUTH 12, WELLS 0: Kelsey Freedman finished with nine strikeouts and one walk to lead Falmouth (6-10) over the Warriors (8-7) in five innings at Wells.

Maddie Inlow knocked in three runs, and Addie Weller added two RBI and two runs.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 3, YORK 0: Laura Getchell allowed four hits with 11 strikeouts and four walks as the Patriots (14-2) beat the Wildcats (11-5) at York.

Alicia Valente went 2 for 3, including an RBI double in the sixth inning that broke a scoreless tie. Alex Thompson added a run-scoring double in the seventh for her second hit of the game.

NOBLE 9, GORHAM 5: Molly Pritchett hit a three-run triple in the fifth inning to help the Knights (6-10) down the Rams (4-12) at Gorham.

Amylie Anderson followed with a two-run homer for her second hit of the game.

Carolyne Fogarty went 3 for 4 to drive in a run and scored twice, and Liz LaMontagne had a two-run single in the seventh for Gorham.

WINDHAM 9, MASSABESIC 4: Colleen Holtan hit a three-run triple during a seven-run third inning to lift the Eagles (3-13) over the Mustangs (3-13) at Waterboro.

Sierra Leonard and Kaitlyn Gass doubled for Massabesic.

GREELY 4, CAPE ELIZABETH 3: Emma Seymour scored on a walk-off double by Lindsey Arsenault in the eighth inning to lift the Rangers (14-2) over the Capers (8-8) at Cumberland.

Cape Elizabeth took a 2-0 lead on a two-run single by Emmy Ham in the second. The Rangers rallied with a three-run fourth, including an RBI single by Bryce McEwen.

Mary Zambello struck out four and walked three, allowing eight hits for Greely.

SANFORD 18, PORTLAND 12: Jordan Brasier hit a three-run homer during a six-run second inning and Amanda Hunter added a two-run homer in the third as the Redskins (9-7) rallied from an early 4-0 deficit against the Bulldogs (1-15) at Portland.

Kendra Legere hit a two-run homer and finished with four hits, and Sam Adams added four hits and drove in a run for the Redskins.

Maggie Kilbride had three hits and three RBI, and Leanne Reichert added a solo homer, a double and two RBI for the Bulldogs.

MEDOMAK VALLEY 2, BELFAST 1: Kayla Santheson threw a three-hitter with six strikeouts and no walks, and Vanessa Davis hit a triple and a single to lift the Panthers (13-3) over the Lions (9-7) at Belfast.

Victoria Overlock struck out six and walked three in a three-hitter.

CHEVERUS 8, BONNY EAGLE 1: Theresa Hendrix struck out nine and walked one in a seven-hitter, and also had two hits, three steals and two runs to lead the Stags (12-4) over the Scots (7-9) at Portland.

Maggie Grindatti and Jasmyn Welch each hit two-run singles, and finished with two hits apiece for Cheverus.

Connie Grovo singled in a run for Bonny Eagle in the seventh.

MT. ARARAT 15, MORSE 7: Heather Dolduc and Whitney Dano each scored three goals for the Eagles (8-4) against the Shipbuilders (7-5) at Bath.

Hayley Lapoint and Haley Michaud added two goals apiece for Mt. Ararat. Tori Field had three goals for Morse.

THORNTON ACADEMY 8, SANFORD 2: Erin Kany and Ashley Kane scored two goals apiece as Thornton Academy (10-2) beat the Redskins (7-5) at Sanford.

The Trojans led 3-1 at halftime, then added five second-half goals, two by Kane.

MASSABESIC 11, DEERING 3: Jenna Cyr scored three goals and assisted on another to lead eight goal scorers for the Mustangs (6-6) against the Rams (3-8-1) at Waterboro.

Nikki Smith added one goal and two assists for Massabesic.
