CAMDEN — A 44-year-old Maine man recently released from prison after serving 21 years for kidnapping and gross sexual misconduct is behind bars after his arrest for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman.
Bradley Lemay of Augusta is being held on $500,000 bail at the Knox County Jail. He was charged early Wednesday morning following a high-speed chase after a woman reported that she had been raped at knifepoint in her Camden home.
Lemay faces six charges, including gross sexual assault and burglary.
Officials say Lemay was released from the Maine State Prison in February after serving 21 years following his 1989 conviction.
