NEW FACES

George Connick has joined the Portland office of Securitas Security Services as the field service manager. Previously, he worked with Securitas in the Boston area and for 29 years in law enforcement with the Portland Police Department and Maine Drug Enforcement Agency.

Sue Strout of Kennebunkport recently joined Gorham Savings Bank as a business development officer. She has more than 15 years of experience in retail banking and mortgage lending operations. 

Kelly McKeil joined Maine Bank & Trust as mortgage account officer. She previously worked for C.H. McLaughlin Title Co. and Maine Title Services LLC. 

Chris Campbell has joined iBec Creative as web developer and project manager. Campbell has an associate’s degree in audio engineering and is currently working toward a degree in philosophy from the University of Southern Maine.

Tim Shannon has joined Verrill Dana as counsel for the firm’s litigation and trial department. He has experience representing high-tech and medical device companies, both plaintiffs and defendants, in patent disputes.

Lisa Skerlick has joined Verrill Dana as director of finance. She previously worked for 10 years at Price Waterhouse Coopers LLC. 

Kathleen de Silva has been hired by Rink Advertising as account planner, responsible for providing strategic client service. She has a strong background in marketing and advertising management.

GENERAL

David Bass has joined the board of directors for the Morrison Center. He is a vice president of associate relations for Delhaize America.

AWARDS and RECOGNITION

Larry Wold, president of TD Bank of Maine, received the JoAnn Pike Humanitarian Award from the Good Shepherd Food Bank. Wold serves on the boards of Maine State Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Portland Regional Chamber, the Maine Real Estate Development Association, Maine & Co. and the Maine Association of Community Banks’ executive committee. 

Timothy O’Brien and Brian Champion have been selected by their clients and peers as “Leaders in their Field” by Chambers USA for 2010. 

FairPoint Communications was recognized by Jobs for Maine Graduates with the Community Leadership Award. The award recognizes the company’s effort to educate JMG students.
