BIDDEFORD – The University of New England is hosting an exhibition of artwork by Diane Noble, “Hills Beach Marsh & Beyond,” at the Campus Center at UNE’s Biddeford Campus.

Noble is an acrylic painter, primarily of landscapes, and an art teacher in Saco. In the summer, she spends much of her time painting plein-air on Monhegan Island, Port Clyde and all along the coast of Maine. She is drawn to places that have strong light and contrast. Large open areas of land and marsh intrigue her, as well as old shacks, rowboats and simple buildings.

The exhibition runs through June 30 and is free and open to the public. The Campus Center is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday.
