The Secretary of State’s Office will hold a recount in the Senate District 1 Republican primary starting at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Maine State Police Operations Center in Augusta.
Unofficial results show Michael Estes of York with a two-vote lead over Rep. Sally Lewin of Eliot. The vote count stands at 1,546 to 1,544.
Senate District 1 covers Eliot, Kittery, Ogunquit, South Berwick and York.
