IN GUIDEBOOKS to Portland, visitors will see a notation about the Children Museum’s camera obscura. The room-sized camera obscura is one of only a handful of its like in the country.

ON TUESDAY, find out how it works, learn the history of camera obscuras and make sketches from the images projected onto a table in the center of the room. Go to www.kitetails.org for information.
