BANGOR — The Maine man who was subdued in May by five female college students after he allegedly attacked his wife with a knife has been indicted by a grand jury.

Forty-five-year-old Horst Wolk, a German national, is scheduled to be arraigned July 6 on charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault, violation of a protection order and criminal threatening.

The Bangor Daily News says he is being held on $50,000 cash bail.

The 35-year-old victim who was rescued May 5 after five female Husson College students intervened was treated for stab wounds to her leg and neck at St. Joseph Hospital and released.
