The Westbrook-based coupon book and guide to green living, The SunriseGuide, is expanding its coverage to the midcoast from Bath to Belfast.

The book, begun in 2006, originally covered only southern Maine.

“We’ve been getting requests for several years to include the midcoast region in the guide, and we’re excited to help play a connecting role that makes it easy for people to find the green products and services they are looking for,” said Heather Chandler, the book’s founder and publisher, in a news release.

Besides providing coupons, the book serves as a directory for businesses that offer goods and services with reduced environmental impact. Articles and tips about sustainable living are featured.

The book is sold for $20. It will be released in October for sale at stores listed on the book’s website, www.thesunriseguide.com, or through fundraisers. Groups like schools and churches sell the guides and keep as much as half of the proceeds.

The SunriseGuide’s Patti Montana will be the featured speaker at the Green Drinks networking event for people who are interested in the natural environment, from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Farmer’s Fare in Rockport.
