Nearly 5,000 homes in Falmouth, Westbrook and Windham were without electricity for more than an hour and half this evening after a transmission line in North Yarmouth went down.
The power was lost at 6:03 p.m. and restored 7:44 p.m., according to Central Maine Power. Officials said they are not sure what caused the problems with the transmission line.
