HOULTON — A Maine man charged in the killings of two men and a 10-year-old boy in the northern town of Amity is due in court.

The Attorney General’s Office says an initial appearance for Thayne Ormsby is scheduled for today, a day after his return from New Hampshire, where he was arrested.

The 20-year-old Ormsby, who’s being held in the Aroostook County Jail, will appear via video conference before a judge in Caribou. He’ll be formally arraigned on July 21.

Ormsby is facing three counts of murder in the deaths of Jeffrey Ryan, his son Jesse, and Jason Dehahn, a friend and neighbor, in Amity.
