STANDISH – Alex Smith hit two home runs to lead Maine-ly Mobile Home Financing to an 8-2 victory over Patriot Insurance in a Twilight League baseball game Wednesday night.

Smith, who also doubled and scored a third time, hit a three-run homer and a solo shot.

Matt Flynn added two hits for Maine-ly Mobile.

Matt Reade had two hits and scored a run for Patriot Insurance (5-12).

AMERICAN LEGION

LIBBY-MITCHELL POST 11, ANDREWS POST 1: Ryan Mancini pitched a six-hitter to lead Libby-Mitchell over Andrews (1-13) at Haverty Park.

Mancini struck out eight and walked one. He also paced the offense for Libby-Mitchell (11-3) with two hits and two runs scored.

 

YORK 8, SANFORD 0: Jim Kennedy faced one batter over the minimum as visiting York (6-6) defeated Sanford (6-8) at Goodall Park.

Kennedy had a perfect game until Eric Colburn singled to center field with one out in the sixth inning.

Arran Maran and Joe Duplisea each had two hits for York.

YARMOUTH 7, MOODY’S COLLISION 2: Luke Pierce had an RBI triple and scored on Dustin McCrossin’s single in the first inning to help Yarmouth (5-9) defeat Moody’s Collision (1-14) at Gorham.

Winning pitcher Nick Whitaker added a two-run double in the fifth inning.

 

POST 87 TITANS, MASSABESIC SPLIT: Post 87 Titans won the opener 7-5 and Massabesic took the second game 4-3 at Waterboro.

Matt Robida had three hits in the opener for Post 87.

In the second game, Casey Nava ended it in the seventh inning when he singled home Ryan Morse, who finished with two hits.

Hunter Duncan struck out 10 for Massabesic.

George O’Connor hit a three-run double for Post 87.

JUNIOR LEGION

LIBBY-MITCHELL POST 17, LEBANON EAGLES 7: Zach Frizzle knocked in three runs on three hits, including two doubles and a triple, as Libby-Mitchell (5-7) defeated Lebanon (2-11) at Scarborough.

Aaron Ravin added two RBI on two hits for Libby-Mitchell.

Sean Adams knocked in three runs with two hits to lead Lebanon.

WINDHAM 4, GRAY 0: Joe Francoeur hit a home run in the first inning to lead Windham (13-1) over Gray (7-7) at Windham.

Francoeur added a two-run double in the third inning.

Nate Boyle pitched a three-hitter with three walks and eight strikeouts.
