PORTLAND – Jake Gardiner pitched a one-hitter and Zack Gardner hit a two-run single during a 13-run fourth inning as Stockhouse rolled to a 15-0 win over Nova Seafood in the second game of an American Legion baseball doubleheader Sunday.

Nova won the opener, 9-4.

Nick DiBiase drove in three runs, and Cameron Brown added two singles and two RBI for Nova (14-3) in the first game. Sean Murphy had three RBI for Stockhouse (13-5).

Nova finishes its regular season at home today against First Title in the resumption of a tie game. Nova needs a win to claim the No. 1 seed over Libby-Mitchell for the Zone 4 tournament, which starts Tuesday. Morrill Post will be the No. 3 seed and Stockhouse is seeded fourth.

MORRILL POST 12, FALMOUTH 2: John Medici had three hits and three RBI, and Zack Horton added three doubles as Morrill Post (13-5) cruised to a win over Falmouth (8-9) at South Portland.

Ben Burnes had two hits and an RBI for Falmouth.

FALMOUTH 8, YARMOUTH 3: Matt MacDowell hit a two-run single and Sam Bonsey added an RBI single during a five-run second inning as Falmouth (9-9) defeated visiting Yarmouth (6-12).

Nick Spencer contributed two hits and an RBI.

Aidan Sullivan and Toey Le-Blanc each had an RBI single for Yarmouth.

BABE RUTH

PORTLAND 9, WESTBROOK 2: Mitchell Powers pitched a five-hitter as Portland captured the District 4 championship in the 15-year-old division with a victory over visiting Westbrook.

Kyle Reichert and Tim Rovnak each had two hits and an RBI for Portland.

Keenan Lowe hit an RBI single for Westbrook.

TWILIGHT LEAGUE

AERO HEATING 13, MAINE-LY MOBILE 5: Ben Goodall drove in four runs with two singles, a double and a home run as Aero Heating built an 11-0 lead on the way to a win over Maine-Ly Mobile (9-9) at Portland.

Mike Collar pitched four perfect innings, and Ryan Boyington retired six straight batters before Maine-Ly Mobile got its first base runner in the seventh.

Scott Nappi added two singles and a triple and scored three runs for Aero.

Brady Blackman had two singles and two RBI for Maine-Ly Mobile.

PATRIOT INSURANCE 10, DEAD RIVER 9: Christian Hamilton’s single capped Patriot’s four-run rally in the ninth inning at Biddeford.

Spike Einsiedler went 5 for 5 with five RBI for Patriot (6-11), including a two-run double in the ninth. Matt Powers added two singles and a double and scored three runs.

Tyler Laverriere drove in three runs for Dead River (10-8).

NECBL

EAST WINS ALL-STAR GAME: Dustin Ramey and Eric Ruth of the Sanford Mainers combined with seven other pitchers on a one-hitter as the East Division cruised to a 10-0 win in the New England Collegiate Baseball League All-Star game at Newport, R.I.

Sanford second baseman Joe Wendle was 2 for 3 with an RBI, and teammates Anthony Gomez, Jim Schult and Brett Mollenhauer each had one hit.
