GRAY – Ryan Cavallaro hit a run-scoring double and Jeff Taylor followed with a two-run walk-off single Saturday as Gray-New Gloucester advanced to the quarterfinals of the Junior Legion state tournament with a 6-5 victory against Libby-Mitchell.
Sixth-seeded Gray-New Gloucester (11-8) scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to subdue 14th-seeded Libby-Mitchell (8-12).
BRISTOL SEAFOOD 9, KENNEBUNK 2: Anthony Balzano drove in a pair of runs and Nick Payne struck out three in a four-hitter to lead eighth-seeded Bristol Seafood (11-8) past ninth-seeded Kennebunk (11-9) at Portland in the second round of the state tournament.
COLE POST 13, FALMOUTH 11: Jayson Gauthier hit a three-run double during a six-run second inning, and 15th-ranked Cole Post (8-12) held off seventh-seeded Falmouth (10-9) in the second round of the state tournament at Standish.
LIBBY-MITCHELL 11, CUMBERLAND 0: Jayme Lappin pitched a two-hitter with seven strikeouts and one walk to lead Libby-Mitchell (8-11) over Cumberland (8-11) in the first round at Gray.
FAYETTE-STAPLES 3, SMITH-TOBEY 0: C.J. Pendleton pitched a two-hitter with six strikeouts as Fayette-Staples (9-10) beat Smith-Tobey (8-11) in the first round at Cape Elizabeth.

PORTLAND 5, TRI-COUNTY NORTH 2: Thomas Dean hit a two-run single, and Nick Bolger and Kyle Reichert added RBI singles during a four-run first inning as Portland handled Tri-County North in the state tournament at Deering Oaks.
SOUTHERN YORK 14, SOMERSET 1: Austin Minnon hit a three-run double and Brett Burke added a two-run double as Southern York won in five innings in the state tournament at Portland.
WESTBROOK 10, MIDCOAST NORTH 4: Kaleb Kent hit a two-run triple and Cale Bollig added a two-run single as Westbrook took a 9-0 lead and held off Midcoast North in the state tournament at Portland.

BANGOR 12, STAPLES CROSSING 1: Devin Lyshon and Josiah Hartley hit two-run doubles as Bangor (18-4) downed Staples Crossing (15-6) in eight innings at South Portland in a play-in game for the American Legion state tournament.
GAYTON POST 10, LIBBY-MITCHELL 9: Corbin Hyde singled in the winning run in the ninth inning as Gayton Post (16-4) eliminated Libby-Mitchell (15-6) in a state tournament play-in game at South Portland.
