SCARBOROUGH — Nomination papers will soon be available for a number of elected positions in town.
Three seats on the Town Council will be up for grabs. Two seats are for regular three-year terms. The third is for a term that will expire in November 2011.
Voters will also decide in November on two three-year terms on the Board of Education; two three-year terms for the Sanitary District and one spot on the Portland Water District that will expire in November 2013.
Residents interested in running for these positions can pick up nomination papers starting Aug. 4. The deadline for turning in nomination papers is Sept. 1.
