Darlene Stymiest-Porter has joined Aetna Life Insurance Co. as a long-term disability benefits manager. She transferred from Aetna Government Health Plans, where she recently supported TRICARE as a network account manager.

Michael Grace and Eleanor Newton have joined Aetna Life Insurance Co. as long-term disability clinical consultants. Grace has been a registered nurse for 33 years. Newton has been a nurse for more than 35 years.

Lori Karickhoff has joined Aetna Life Insurance Co. as a vocational rehabilitation consultant. She has more than 25 years’ experience in the field of rehabilitation counseling.

Sally Loughlin has been appointed director of curriculum, assessment, instruction and professional development for School Administrative District 51. She is currently assistant superintendent for SAD 75.

Kaleigh Melanson has joined Berry, Dunn, McNeil & Parker as a staff accountant for the firm’s Manchester, N.H., office.

Shawn Gilbert, Jennifer Small and Diane Churchill have been hired by Paragon Commercial Real Estate. Gilbert brings more than 20 years’ experience as a broker, consultant and corporate real estate manager for an international restaurant chain. Small is a licensed associate broker and previously worked for 10 years at Malone Commercial Brokers. Churchill will fill the role of office management and brokerage support, as well as marketing of the company and its clients.

Kathy Ostrander has joined Legacy Properties Sotheby’s International as a new real estate agent in the Kennebunk office. She brings 10 years of experience in residential real estate.

Peter Pinkerton has been hired by Harriman, a full-service architecture and engineering firm, as interior design studio leader. He brings 12 years’ experience in a wide range of projects.

Dick Vautrinot and Elaine Gammon have been hired by Modern Pest Services. Vautrinot joins the company’s wildlife division, bringing 20 years’ experience as a former owner of a nuisance wildlife control business. Gammon, who joins as the company’s marketing manager, previously was an account executive at Idexx Laboratories.

PROMOTIONS

David Libby has been named chief executive officer and president of Town & Country Federal Credit Union. He joined the credit union as manager of the Portland branch in 1990.

Tim Morancy has been named store manager of Tractor Supply Co.’s Sanford location. He has been with the company since March 2007 as a manager-in-training at the Scarborough location.

AWARDS and RECOGNITION

Moose Landing Marina of Naples received a Top Five Pontoon Dealer award at the annual Nautic Global Group Dealer Meeting. The marina was also honored as one of Godfrey’s Top Five overall dealers and earned the Number One dealer in Customer Service Index for all of Godfrey’s affiliates.

Norman Smith and Donald Smith were co-recipients of the 2010 North Yarmouth Distinguished Citizens Award. Their dedication to North Yarmouth as lifelong residents and more than five decades of service earned them this award.

Kerry Crowley, M.D., a 1980 graduate of the University of Vermont College of Medicine and a Maine Coast Memorial Hospital physician, received the UVM Medical Alumni Association’s Service to Medicine & Community Award at a reunion awards ceremony.

Bill Faucher, with Allied Engineering Inc. in Portland, earned the title of Registered Roof Consultant from RCI, Inc.
