BANGOR — Police have identified the man whose body was found floating in Maine’s Penobscot River last month.

Bangor police said they responded to a report Aug. 12 of clothes strewn about on a dock on the Bangor riverfront. A few hours later, the body of 44-year-old Randall Stevens, of Bangor, was pulled from the river.

Police said today the cause of death has been ruled as drowning, and that the death is not considered suspicious.
