NEW YORK – Hip-hop star Kanye West is still feeling the pain over his trophy grab from Taylor Swift last year — and he’s expressing his pain all over Twitter.

West unleashed a torrent of emotions on his official Twitter account Saturday, acknowledging once again that he was wrong for jumping on stage, taking the trophy that Swift won at the MTV Video Music Awards and saying that it should have gone to Beyonce.

But the rapper-producer said that he has been the subject of death wishes and suffered tremendous setback to his career.

“How deep is the scar … I bled hard … cancelled tour with the number one pop star in the world … closed the doors of my clothing office,” he tweeted.

The multiplatinum, Grammy-winning superstar had been one of the decade’s most successful and critically acclaimed stars, despite sometimes boorish behavior at other awards shows when things did not go his way.

However, when he upstaged Swift — the then-teenage darling of pop and country music worlds — the public had had enough. There was a massive backlash against West — even President Obama was caught calling him a “jackass.”

At the time, he went on Jay Leno’s prime-time show to apologize and said he still had not recovered from his mother’s untimely death two years prior. He said he would be taking time off from the public eye.

That time off came sooner than expected. He canceled a joint tour with Lady Gaga that fall, apparently due to low ticket sales. On Twitter, West talked about the backlash.

After the incident, he said, “People tweeted that they wish I was dead. … No listen. They wanted me to die people. I carry that. I smile and take pictures through that.”

‘Twilight’ star settles with RV dealership

LOS ANGELES – An attorney for Taylor Lautner says the “Twilight” star has settled a lawsuit with an RV dealership he claims didn’t deliver a $300,000 coach in time for a movie shoot.

Lawyer Robert Barta said Friday that McMahon RV of Irvine, Calif. will pay $40,000 to Lautner, who will donate it to Lollipop Theater Network, a children’s charity.

Lautner, 18, sued the dealership Monday, saying it missed a June deadline to deliver the 2006 Affinity Country Coach for use on the set of the movie “Abduction.”

Bristol Palin ready to dance

BURBANK, Calif. – Bristol Palin says she didn’t think twice before waltzing into “Dancing with the Stars,” although she’s barely danced in her life.

In an appearance Friday on NBC’s “Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” the 19-year-old daughter of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin says she learned about the invitation through a text message and signed within a week to appear on the new season starting Sept. 20.

Leno asked if she had gone to her high school prom. Palin replied, “No, I was pregnant!”

That pregnancy put her in the spotlight during her mother’s campaign for vice president in 2008. She had son Tripp that year, and recently she called off her re-engagement to Levi Johnston, Tripp’s father.

Palin told Leno she and Johnston weren’t meant to be, and she’s focused on being a mom.

Hilton suspect appears in court

LOS ANGELES – A man accused of showing up at Paris Hilton’s house wielding two knives has pleaded not guilty to attempted felony burglary.

Nathan Lee Parada entered the plea Friday in a Los Angeles courtroom.

He was arrested Aug. 24 outside the socialite’s house and remains jailed in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Hilton was at home when Parada allegedly banged on windows. She posted a photo of his arrest on her Twitter feed and described the incident as “scary.”

The heiress was arrested later in the week in Las Vegas on suspicion of carrying cocaine, which she told police was not hers.
