Two Westbrook female firefighters who sued the city for sexual harassment will get about $850,000 under an agreement reached with city officials.

The sexual harassment complaints from Lisa Theberge and Kathy Rogers led to the firing of several top officials in the Westbrook Fire and Rescue Department.

Under the agreement released Tuesday, Theberge will receive $368,708.67. Kathy Rogers will receive $477,639.81. The city will pay about $228,000 and the balance will be paid by the city’s insurance carrier, the Maine Municipal Association.

Westbrook City Administrator Jerre Bryant declined to comment on the agreement. Part of the agreement was that all parties would agree not to comment on the agreement.

Theberge recently returned to the department after being on paid administrative leave for almost two years.
