PORTLAND — Scarborough scored three goals in a six-minute span early in the second half and defeated Portland 3-1 Tuesday in an SMAA boys’ soccer game.

Tony Yekah scored for the Bulldogs (1-1) on an assist from Fazal Nabi at 44:47.

The Red Storm (2-0) began their winning flurry at 43:23 with a goal from Austin Downing. Andrew Jones got the go-ahead goal on a breakaway at 47:34, and Connor Gullifer scored at 49:07, assisted by Mike Wofford.

 

BONNY EAGLE 3, MASSABESIC 1: Matt McClure scored twice and Jon Thomas had a goal and an assist as Bonny Eagle (1-1) beat the Mustangs (0-2) at Waterboro.

Thomas’ goal broke a 1-1 tie with 7:41 left in the game. He then fed McClure for an insurance goal a minute later.

FALMOUTH 12, POLAND 0: Michael Blum had three goals and an assist as the Yachtsmen (2-0) defeated Poland (0-1) at Falmouth.

Sam White and Drew Segerstrom each had two goals and two assists.

 

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 2, FREEPORT 1: Jake Schraeder scored in the 70th minute to lift Fryeburg Academy (1-1) over Freeport (0-2) at Fryeburg

The Raiders got a goal from Milos in the 60th minute. Jack Dawe scored for the Falcons two minutes after Schraeder’s goal.

GORHAM 7, BIDDEFORD 0: Steve Albanese had two goals and Alex Owens, Kevin Lubelcyk, Connor Raegan, Drew Hopkins and Spence Cowand added one each to lead Gorham (1-1) over the Tigers (0-2) at Biddeford.

 

KENNEBUNK 3, WESTBROOK 1: Griffin Drigotis, Dan Snyder and Harrison Hall scored and John Grillo had two assists for the Rams (1-1) against visiting Westbrook (0-2).

Andrew Sousa scored for Westbrook.

MARSHWOOD 3, CHEVERUS 1: Goalie Jackson Towle broke up two point-blank breakaways late in the first half to help Marshwood (2-0) defeat Cheverus (1-1) at Portland.

Elliot Maker tied the game for the Stags with 35:29 left. Elijah Ober scored the go-ahead goal at 25:01, and Jon Hartman added a goal with 10:52 to play.

 

SOUTH PORTLAND 2, NOBLE 1: Akiba Davis deflected a ball into the goal with 1:41 left in the second overtime to give South Portland (2-0) a win over Noble (1-1) at North Berwick.

The Red Riots took the lead seven minutes into the game on a 25-yard direct kick from Nemanja Kaurin. Brandon Vigneault tied it for the Knights.

WINDHAM 1, DEERING 0: Brandon Shaw scored following a scramble in the box with 4:18 remaining as the Eagles (2-0) downed the Rams (0-2) at Portland.

Jamie Gullbrand had seven saves for Deering.

 

YORK 5, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 1: Pierce Twohig scored twice as York (2-0) beat the Patriots (0-2) at Gray.

 

SACOPEE VALLEY 3, TRAIP ACADEMY 1: Mitchell Watson had two goals and an assist for the Hawks (1-0) against Traip (0-2) at South Hiram.

SANFORD 3, THORNTON ACADEMY 2: Nick Wall scored with 1:32 left in the second overtime to boost Sanford (2-0) past Thornton Academy (0-2) at Saco.

Matt LeBlanc scored a second-half goal for the Trojans to force overtime.
