GORHAM — Sarah Little curled a long shot inside the far post with 10 seconds left in the second overtime to give Scarborough a 1-0 victory over Gorham in an SMAA girls’ soccer game Monday afternoon.

Jill Deering made five saves for the Red Storm (4-0). Sarah Perkins stopped seven shots for Gorham (2-2).

 

LEAVITT 4, MEDOMAK VALLEY 2: Bri Hammond scored a pair of goals and Maria Treadwell added the go-ahead goal with 16:48 left in regulation as the Hornets (4-0) beat the Panthers (1-2) at Turner.

Alanna Vose and Kasey Benner scored for Medomak Valley.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 4, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 1: Craig Moreau had two goals and an assist for the visiting Patriots (2-3) against the Raiders (1-3).

Colby Arnold and Jack Martell also scored.

 

LINCOLN ACADEMY 2, OAK HILL 2: Jacob Barrows and Bo McLain scored for Lincoln (2-1-1), which twice rallied from one-goal deficits to earn a draw against the Raiders (2-1-1) at Newcastle.

 

LEAVITT 2, MEDOMAK VALLEY 0: Tyler Allen scored in the opening minute and Korey Mulherin added a second goal 10 minutes later to lift the Hornets (2-2) over the Panthers (0-3) at Waldoboro.

A.R. GOULD 4, CHOP POINT 2: Nate Myers scored three goals as A.R. Gould (1-0) beat Chop Point (0-2) at South Portland.

Cole Meserve also scored for A.R. Gould, and Phil Smith made 10 saves.

Lewis Ambroix and Sam Stevens scored for Chop Point.

FIELD HOCKEY

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 6, YARMOUTH 1: Christina DiPietro and Sage Hennessy scored two goals apiece to lead the Raiders (2-2) past the Clippers (0-5) at Fryeburg.

Fryeburg also got goals from Aslyn Dindorf and Bailey Frost. Lindsay Porpura scored for Yarmouth.

 

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 2, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 1: Paige Leighton and Breanna Harlow scored goals in the first 14 minutes, and the Patriots (2-3) held off the Seagulls (1-4) at Gray.

Quinn Anderson scored for OOB in the second half.

 

SACOPEE VALLEY 3, TRAIP ACADEMY 0: Maya Richmond scored on an assist from Justine Ruhlin late in the first half, and Ally Allard and Ruhlin added second-half goals as the Hawks (3-1) downed the Rangers (1-4) at South Hiram.

BOOTHBAY 2, JAY 1: Sarah Caron scored with 4:30 left in overtime to lift the Seahawks (1-2-1) over the Tigers (2-2) at Boothbay Harbor.

Jessica Murray tied the game for Boothbay with 1:50 left in regulation.

VOLLEYBALL

FALMOUTH 3, CAPE ELIZABETH 0: Sarah Collmus had 14 service points, five aces and three assists, and Morgan Larrabee added 12 service points and three aces to lead the Yachtsmen (4-0) to a 25-13, 25-20, 25-19 victory over the Capers (0-3) at Falmouth.

Laney Evers chipped in with eight service points and 17 assists, and Jenna Serunian recorded six kills.

GREELY 3, GORHAM 0: Haleigh Roach had nine aces and seven set assists to lead the Rangers (3-1) over the visiting Rams (2-2) by scores 25-4, 25-21, 25-14.

Sara Warnock had 13 digs and 11 kills, Maggie Bradley added 14 digs and six kills, and Michelle Poulin finished with eight kills for Greely.
